An Insect Friendly Garden
In a rural Buckinghamshire village, I transformed a garden that was mostly lawn with sweeping, curving borders and colourful planting.
The borders were set against a high wall, providing a strong backdrop to the planting. The client loved butterflies, so the borders were filled with nectar-rich perennials, creating a tapestry that brings movement, life, and seasonal colour to the garden. Several existing box topiary plants were reused to provide continuity, around which the planting was carefully arranged. Over time, the garden has come alive with the hum of insect life, a constant delight to the senses.
