A Town Front Garden

In a small Buckinghamshire town, I reimagined the front garden of a beautiful 17th-century house with bold, modern borders.

The planting was designed to complement and enhance the historic character of the house while introducing a fresh, contemporary edge. Large hydrangeas provide structure, while smaller perennials and grasses spill over a low brick wall, softening its edges. Yew topiary adds a traditional touch, linking the garden to the house’s 17th-century origins. The result is a striking garden that feels both timeless and modern.
